Is Heaven really fair? Why does it not punish those bad people?
Is Heaven really fair? Why are so many good people being neglected?
People who have mourned or have been cruelly mistreated must have grave feelings towards the above two questions.
There is an ancient Chinese teaching, ‘Virtue is rewarded with virtue, evil is rewarded with evil, if reward is not seen, it is only a matter of time’.
Perhaps we have ever felt puzzled as to why villains still have not received retribution for their evil deeds.
The moment we were born into this world, we were free from any accessories; since the body which Heaven has given us, is originally very perfect. Therefore, at times, we unexpectedly look down upon our own physical bodies, which Heaven has given us, even to the extent of it being neglected and forgotten about.
Similarly, as for those people with high morality and good conduct, they are also perfect; and hence, they are often being neglected and forgotten about. So, virtuous people are not rewarded accordingly? Of course not! When Heaven allows virtuous people to carry on being virtuous, it is actually the best award they can receive.
If you feel that you are a good person, very good. You are truly blessed as Heaven has awarded you with the best prize, which is allowing you to be a good person!
Therefore, we can finally understand that the most severe form of punishment Heaven can give to villains is by allowing them to continue to be villains. This is most definitely not a joke. It is the same as ghosts that can never rise above their realms!
The ‘eyes’ of Heaven are always watching us, just as ‘Dharmapala exists three feet above your head’.
Lastly, everybody should remember,
‘For those who are virtuous, although good fortune has not yet arrived, they have already left misfortune far behind;
For those who are evil, although misfortune has not yet arrived, they have already left good fortune far behind’.
