What Goes Around Comes Around

In the middle of the night, a motorcycle drove off at high speed after knocking down a pedestrian. Fortunately, another motorcycle from behind arrived at the scene. The rider stopped to investigate and immediately hired a taxi and escorted the injured to hospital.

Unexpectedly, at the emergency ward, the injured insisted this courageous rider was the culprit. After thorough investigation, the police also considered him as the prime suspect. In addition, he himself was also unable to find a way out to provide any evidence to eliminate the suspicion of his guilt. In the end, he had no choice but to settle the matter by paying the full medical fees.

He then frequently cried over his share of bad luck and would use every opportunity to express his grievances. He constantly reminded his fellow motorcyclists not to stop to rescue people. Many people were sympathetic towards him and spread the warning by ten and hundred folds (remark: orally spread warning very fast). He used his best efforts to ensure his story was far-reaching. As a result, he caught the “autism” symptom, refusing to help other people; and it seemed that autism could be an infectious symptom....

In another time, on another road, he himself crashed and suffered substantial injuries as his vehicle overturned. One after another, motorcycles and cars drove past him without stopping as the tyres rolled on with his blood stains. It was as if all the drivers had heard of the story “Do Not Rescue People” as they accelerated off the scene.

There are many people who put a lot of effort in beautifying their home environment with orchids, camellias, begonias, numerous pots of roses planted here and there. Their garden is fully covered with fresh green lawns, star glory climbing all over the inside and outside walls; however, these people also try hard to vilify the heart and soul of other people and cause those who are closely related to them to lose their purity and kindness. In this way, how can they live in peace and harmony?  Treat others in kindness and teach others with kindness, obviously means treating others with honesty and consideration; this in turn would help reduce one’s own troubles. This is more important than watering and eliminating pest for those several pots of flowers. If one only attends to the grass and plants nearby and forgets to enhance faith and honesty on a wider spectrum, there will definitely be a day when one truly feels repentance and remorse.

Postscript: Do not lose the heart of kindness just because you once failed or suffered a setback!
