A Person

Accidently came across this text, felt very incisive, recorded here for sharing.
Essay by Huang Ting Guang

Falling in love with a person, can be intoxicating.

Hating a person intensively, can be insane.

Losing a person, can be dumbstruck.

Recognising a person clearly, can be chilling.

Keeping a person in mind, can be hectic.

Attacking a person, can be mad.

Missing a person, can be crazy.

Accepting a person, can be scary.

Changing a person, can be stupid.

Envying a person, can be foolish.

Embracing a person, can be sweet.

Watching a person leave, can be hurtful.

Giving consideration for a person, can be good.

Tying down a person, can be defeated.

Shaming a person, can be ugly.

Abandoning a person, can be tearful.

Forgetting a person, can be exhausting.

When a person is heart-broken, it is not only because the relationship has ended, but it is because when all is over, the love still remains.

When a person gets hurt, it is not because one fails to hold onto love, but it is because once love has gone, she can actually act as if nothing has happened, without shedding a tear for oneself.

When a person has given up hope, it is not because she has gone further and further away, it is because her shadow has actually become so strange.

Note:
We gave this essay to Rinpoche to read.  After reading it and with much praise (Rinpoche has not praised people for nearly 10 years), he said, “Very good, very good, the writing is symmetrical and the content is meaningful!
He further said, “
When a person has reached such a stage in life, it will be better for one to let go of everything and commit oneself to Buddhist practice!
