An Excuse of Deceiving of Oneself and Others

Source: The Internet

There was a factory where the delivery of goods was constantly delayed. However, not only did the orders received not exceed production capacity, the actual monthly production levels were no more than sixty percent. This made the owner very dissatisfied and the usual excuse given by the factory director was: ‘the rate of machine breakdown is too high.’ The owner, was unable to restrain himself, ultimately questioned the factory director, “Why can’t the machines be thoroughly examined and repaired to reduce the breakdown rate?
With a helpless look and hands in the air, the factory director said, “We can’t manufacture on time, and even have to work overtime during the holidays, how can we stop the machines for repair?
In disbelief, the owner questioned, “You can take advantage at night when the factory is closed to carry out the repairs?
With grievance, the factory director said, “It is exhausting enough working at normal hours during the day plus overtime.......”
Again, in disbelief the owner said, “Frankly speaking, it’ll be worthwhile even if we stop manufacturing during the day for repairs. The crux of the matter is ‘whether there is any sincerity to solve the problem of production delay at its root cause; otherwise, any explanation is just an excuse of deceiving of oneself and others.’

Postscript:
To advance in their studies, many people buy many good books with the intention of reading them in detail when they get the chance. These books are put on their bookshelves and with determination they decide: ‘When I have time, I’ll have a good read of these books.’ As a result, more and more books are bought, with less and less time to spare and ultimately, they never actually take any time to read. In fact, ‘
there is no sincerity to solve the problem at its root cause.’ As the saying goes, ‘To properly handle any matter, one must first be well equipped’. What is more important than sharpening the saw first?
